بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

شروع اللہ کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے۔

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Al-ḥamdu lillāhi Rabbil-‘ālamīn

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

سب تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں جو تمام جہانوں کا پالنے والا ہے۔

الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Ar-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm

The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم فرمانے والا ہے۔

مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

Māliki Yawmid-Dīn

Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.

روز جزا کا مالک ہے۔

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

Iyyāka na‘budu wa iyyāka nasta‘īn

It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں اور تجھ ہی سے مدد مانگتے ہیں۔

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Ihdinaṣ-ṣirāṭal-mustaqīm

Guide us to the straight path -

ہمیں سیدھے راستے کی ہدایت فرما۔

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

Ṣirāṭalladhīna an‘amta ‘alayhim ghayril-maghḍūbi ‘alayhim wa laḍ-ḍāllīn

The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

ان لوگوں کا راستہ جن پر تو نے انعام فرمایا، نہ ان کا جن پر غضب نازل ہوا اور نہ گمراہوں کا۔

الم

Alif-Lām-Mīm

Alif, Lam, Meem.

الف لام میم۔

ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

Dhālikal-Kitābu lā rayba fīh, hudal-lil-muttaqīn

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah -

یہ وہ کتاب ہے جس میں کوئی شک نہیں، پرہیزگاروں کے لیے ہدایت ہے۔

الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ

Alladhīna yu’minūna bil-ghaybi wa yuqīmūnaṣ-Ṣalāta wa mimmā razaqnāhum yunfiqūn

Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them,

جو بن دیکھے ایمان لاتے ہیں اور نماز قائم کرتے ہیں اور جو کچھ ہم نے دیا اس میں سے خرچ کرتے ہیں۔

وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ وَبِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ

Walladhīna yu’minūna bimā unzila ilayka wa mā unzila min qablika wa bil-Ākhirati hum yūqinūn

And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].

اور جو ایمان لاتے ہیں اس پر جو آپ کی طرف نازل کیا گیا اور جو آپ سے پہلے نازل کیا گیا، اور وہ آخرت پر کامل یقین رکھتے ہیں۔

أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ

Ulā’ika ‘alā hudam-mir-Rabbihim wa ulā’ika humul-mufliḥūn

Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.

یہی لوگ اپنے رب کی طرف سے سیدھی راہ پر ہیں اور یہی فلاح پانے والے ہیں۔

وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۖ لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ الرَّحِيمُ

Wa ilāhukum ilāhuw-wāḥid, lā ilāha illā huwar-Raḥmānur-Raḥīm

And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

اور تمہارا معبود ایک ہی معبود ہے، اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم فرمانے والا ہے۔

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ

Allāhu lā ilāha illā huwal-Ḥayyul-Qayyūm, lā ta’khudhuhū sinatuw-wa lā nawm, lahū mā fis-samāwāti wa mā fil-arḍ, man dhalladhī yashfa‘u ‘indahū illā bi-idhnih, ya‘lamu mā bayna aydīhim wa mā khalfahum, wa lā yuḥīṭūna bi-shay’im-min ‘ilmihī illā bimā shā’, wasi‘a kursiyyuhus-samāwāti wal-arḍ, wa lā ya’ūduhū ḥifẓuhumā, wa huwal-‘Aliyyul-‘Aẓīm

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

اللہ، جس کے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں، ہمیشہ زندہ رہنے والا اور سب کو سنبھالنے والا ہے۔ نہ اسے اونگھ آتی ہے نہ نیند۔ جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے سب اسی کا ہے۔ کون ہے جو اس کی اجازت کے بغیر اس کے حضور سفارش کر سکے؟ وہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ مخلوقات کے سامنے ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے پیچھے ہے، اور وہ اس کے علم میں سے کسی چیز کا احاطہ نہیں کر سکتے مگر جتنا وہ چاہے۔ اس کی کرسی آسمانوں اور زمین پر چھائی ہوئی ہے، اور ان دونوں کی حفاظت اس پر گراں نہیں گزرتی، اور وہ عالی شان اور بڑی عظمت والا ہے۔

لَا إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ ۖ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ ۚ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِن بِاللَّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىٰ لَا انفِصَامَ لَهَا ۗ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

Lā ikrāha fid-dīn, qat-tabayyanar-rushdu minal-ghayy, famay-yakfur biṭ-ṭāghūti wa yu’mim-billāhi faqadistamsaka bil-‘urwatil-wuthqā lanfiṣāma lahā, wallāhu Samī‘un ‘Alīm

There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

دین میں کوئی زبردستی نہیں، ہدایت گمراہی سے صاف واضح ہو چکی ہے۔ پس جو شخص طاغوت کا انکار کرے اور اللہ پر ایمان لائے تو اس نے مضبوط سہارا تھام لیا جو کبھی ٹوٹنے والا نہیں، اور اللہ خوب سننے والا، جاننے والا ہے۔

اللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُم مِّنَ النُّورِ إِلَى الظُّلُمَاتِ ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

Allāhu waliyyulladhīna āmanū yukhrijuhum-minaz-ẓulumāti ilan-nūr, walladhīna kafarū awliyā’uhumuṭ-ṭāghūtu yukhrijūnahum-minan-nūri ilaẓ-ẓulumāt, ulā’ika aṣ-ḥābun-nār, hum fīhā khālidūn

Allah is the ally of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light. And those who disbelieve - their allies are Taghut. They take them out of the light into darknesses. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.

اللہ ایمان والوں کا مددگار ہے، وہ انہیں اندھیروں سے روشنی کی طرف نکالتا ہے، اور جنہوں نے کفر کیا ان کے ساتھی شیطان ہیں جو انہیں روشنی سے اندھیروں کی طرف لے جاتے ہیں۔ یہی لوگ دوزخی ہیں اور وہ ہمیشہ اس میں رہیں گے۔

لِّلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ وَإِن تُبْدُوا مَا فِي أَنفُسِكُمْ أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ يُحَاسِبْكُم بِهِ اللَّهُ ۖ فَيَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Lillāhi mā fis-samāwāti wa mā fil-arḍ, wa in tubdū mā fī anfusikum aw tukhfūhu yuḥāsibkum bihillāh, fayaghfiru limay-yashā’u wa yu‘adh-dhibu may-yashā’, wallāhu ‘alā kulli shay’in Qadīr

To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Whether you show what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it. Then He will forgive whom He wills and punish whom He wills, and Allah is over all things competent.

اللہ ہی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو زمین میں ہے۔ اور اگر تم ظاہر کرو جو تمہارے دلوں میں ہے یا اسے چھپاؤ، اللہ تم سے اس کا حساب لے گا۔ پھر جس کو چاہے بخش دے اور جسے چاہے عذاب دے، اور اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔

آمَنَ الرَّسُولُ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۚ كُلٌّ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّن رُّسُلِهِ ۚ وَقَالُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

Āmanar-Rasūlu bimā unzila ilayhi mir-Rabbihī wal-mu’minūn, kullun āmana billāhi wa malā’ikatihī wa kutubihī wa rusulih, lā nufarriqu bayna aḥadim-mir-rusulih, wa qālū sami‘nā wa aṭa‘nā ghufrānaka Rabbanā wa ilaykal-maṣīr

The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination."

رسول اس کتاب پر ایمان لائے جو ان کے رب کی طرف سے ان پر اتری اور مومن بھی۔ سب اللہ پر، اس کے فرشتوں پر، اس کی کتابوں پر اور اس کے رسولوں پر ایمان لائے، (اور کہتے ہیں کہ) ہم اس کے رسولوں میں سے کسی میں تفریق نہیں کرتے، اور انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم نے سنا اور مانا، اے ہمارے رب ہم تیری بخشش طلب کرتے ہیں اور تیری ہی طرف لوٹنا ہے۔

لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ ۗ رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ

Lā yukallifullāhu nafsan illā wus‘ahā, lahā mā kasabat wa ‘alayhā maktasabat, Rabbanā lā tu’ākhidhnā in-nasīnā aw akhṭa’nā, Rabbanā wa lā taḥmil ‘alaynā iṣran kamā ḥamaltahū ‘alalladhīna min qablinā, Rabbanā wa lā tuḥammilnā mā lā ṭāqata lanā bih, wa‘fu ‘annā waghfir lanā warḥamnā, Anta Mawlānā fanṣurnā ‘alal-qawmil-kāfirīn

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."

اللہ کسی جان پر اس کی طاقت سے زیادہ بوجھ نہیں ڈالتا۔ اس نے جو نیکی کمائی اس کا فائدہ اسی کو ہے اور جو برائی کمائی اس کا وبال بھی اسی پر ہے۔ اے ہمارے رب! اگر ہم بھول جائیں یا خطا کر بیٹھیں تو ہماری گرفت نہ فرما۔ اے ہمارے رب! ہم پر ایسا بھاری بوجھ نہ ڈال جیسا تو نے ہم سے پہلے لوگوں پر ڈالا تھا۔ اے ہمارے رب! ہم سے وہ بوجھ نہ اٹھوا جس کی ہمیں طاقت نہیں۔ اور ہمیں معاف فرما، ہمیں بخش دے اور ہم پر رحم فرما، تو ہی ہمارا کارساز ہے پس کافروں کی قوم کے مقابلے میں ہماری مدد فرما۔

شَهِدَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ وَأُولُو الْعِلْمِ قَائِمًا بِالْقِسْطِ ۚ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

Shahidallāhu annahū lā ilāha illā Huwa wal-malā’ikatu wa ulul-‘ilmi qā’imam-bil-qisṭ, lā ilāha illā Huwal-‘Azīzul-Ḥakīm

Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge - [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

اللہ نے گواہی دی کہ اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، اور فرشتوں نے اور اہل علم نے بھی، وہ عدل کو قائم رکھنے والا ہے۔ اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ زبردست حکمت والا ہے۔

قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَنزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَاءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Qulillāhumma Mālikal-mulki tu’til-mulka man tashā’u wa tanzi‘ul-mulka mimman tashā’u wa tu‘izzu man tashā’u wa tudhillu man tashā’, biyadikal-khayr, innaka ‘alā kulli shay’in Qadīr

Say, "O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.

آپ عرض کیجیے: اے اللہ! سلطنت کے مالک! تو جسے چاہے حکومت دے اور جس سے چاہے سلطنت چھین لے، اور تو جسے چاہے عزت بخشے اور جسے چاہے ذلیل کرے، تیرے ہی ہاتھ میں تمام بھلائی ہے، بے شک تو ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔

تُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ ۖ وَتُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ ۖ وَتَرْزُقُ مَن تَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

Tūlijul-layla fin-nahāri wa tūlijun-nahāra fil-layli wa tukhrijul-ḥayya minal-mayyiti wa tukhrijul-mayyita minal-ḥayyi wa tarzuqu man tashā’u bighayri ḥisāb

You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night; and You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give provision to whom You will without account."

تو ہی رات کو دن میں داخل کرتا ہے اور دن کو رات میں داخل کرتا ہے، اور تو ہی زندہ کو مردہ سے نکالتا ہے اور مردہ کو زندہ سے نکالتا ہے، اور تو جسے چاہے بے حساب رزق عطا فرماتا ہے۔

إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُ حَثِيثًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ أَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ ۗ تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Inna Rabbakumullāhulladhī khalaqas-samāwāti wal-arḍa fī sittati ayyāmin thummastawā ‘alal-‘arsh, yughshil-laylan-nahāra yaṭlubuhū ḥathīthaw-wash-shamsa wal-qamara wan-nujūma musakh-kharātim-bi-amrih, alā lahul-khalqu wal-amr, tabārakallāhu Rabbul-‘ālamīn

Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, [another night] chasing it rapidly; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.

بے شک تمہارا رب اللہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو چھ دنوں میں پیدا کیا، پھر عرش پر مستوی ہوا، وہ رات کو دن پر اوڑھا دیتا ہے جو تیز رفتاری سے اس کے پیچھے لگی چلی آتی ہے، اور سورج اور چاند اور ستارے سب اسی کے حکم کے تابع ہیں۔ سن لو! پیدا کرنا اور حکم فرمانا اسی کا کام ہے۔ بڑی برکت والا ہے اللہ جو تمام جہانوں کا پروردگار ہے۔

ادْعُوا رَبَّكُمْ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ

Ud‘ū Rabbakum taḍarru‘aw-wa khufyah, innahū lā yuḥibbul-mu‘tadīn

Call upon your Lord in humility and privately; indeed, He does not like transgressors.

اپنے رب کو عاجزی سے اور چپکے چپکے پکارو، بے شک وہ حد سے بڑھنے والوں کو پسند نہیں کرتا۔

وَلَا تُفْسِدُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ بَعْدَ إِصْلَاحِهَا وَادْعُوهُ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا ۚ إِنَّ رَحْمَتَ اللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ مِّنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

Wa lā tufsidū fil-arḍi ba‘da iṣlāḥihā wad‘ūhu khawfaw-wa ṭama‘ā, inna raḥmatallāhi qarībum-minal-muḥsinīn

And cause not corruption upon the earth after its reformation. And invoke Him in fear and aspiration. Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to the doers of good.

اور زمین میں اس کی اصلاح کے بعد فساد نہ پھیلاؤ، اور اللہ سے ڈرتے ہوئے اور امید رکھتے ہوئے دعا مانگو، بے شک اللہ کی رحمت نیکی کرنے والوں کے قریب ہے۔

قُلِ ادْعُوا اللَّهَ أَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمَٰنَ ۖ أَيًّا مَّا تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلًا

Qulid‘ullāha awid‘ur-Raḥmān, ayyam-mā tad‘ū falahul-asmā’ul-ḥusnā, wa lā tajhar biṣalātika wa lā tukhāfit bihā wabtaghi bayna dhālika sabīlā

Say, "Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Merciful. Whichever [name] you call - to Him belong the best names." And do not recite [too] loudly in your prayer or [too] quietly but seek between that a [middle] way.

فرما دیجیے: تم اللہ کہہ کر پکارو یا رحمن کہہ کر پکارو، جس نام سے بھی پکارو تو تمام اچھے نام اسی کے ہیں۔ اور اپنی نماز نہ زیادہ بلند آواز سے پڑھو اور نہ بالکل چپکے سے، بلکہ ان دونوں کے درمیان کا راستہ اختیار کرو۔

وَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ وَلِيٌّ مِّنَ الذُّلِّ ۖ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيرًا

Wa qulil-ḥamdu lillāhilladhī lam yattakhidh waladaw-wa lam yakul-lahū sharīkun fil-mulki wa lam yakul-lahū waliyyum-minadh-dhulli wa kabbirhu takbīrā

And say, "Praise to Allah, who has not taken a son and has had no partner in [His] dominion and has no [need of a] protector out of weakness; and glorify Him with [great] glorification."

اور کہیے: سب تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جس نے نہ کسی کو بیٹا بنایا اور نہ بادشاہت میں اس کا کوئی شریک ہے، اور نہ کمزوری کی وجہ سے اس کا کوئی مددگار ہے، اور اس کی پوری پوری بڑائی بیان کرو۔

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ

Afaḥasibtum annamā khalaqnākum ‘abathaw-wa annakum ilaynā lā turja‘ūn

Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?

کیا تم نے یہ گمان کر لیا تھا کہ ہم نے تمہیں فضول پیدا کیا ہے اور تم ہماری طرف لوٹ کر نہیں آؤ گے؟

فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ

Fata‘ālallāhul-Malikul-Ḥaqq, lā ilāha illā Huwa Rabbul-‘Arshil-Karīm

So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.

پس بہت بلند و برتر ہے اللہ جو سچا بادشاہ ہے، اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ عزت والے عرش کا مالک ہے۔

وَمَن يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ

Wa may-yad‘u ma‘allāhi ilāhan ākhara lā burhāna lahū bihī fa-innamā ḥisābuhū ‘inda Rabbih, innahū lā yufliḥul-kāfirūn

And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.

اور جو شخص اللہ کے ساتھ کسی اور معبود کو پکارے جس کی اس کے پاس کوئی دلیل نہیں، تو اس کا حساب اس کے رب کے پاس ہے، بے شک کافر فلاح نہیں پائیں گے۔

وَقُل رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Wa qur-Rabbighfir warḥam wa Anta Khayrur-rāḥimīn

And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful."

اور کہیے: اے میرے رب! بخش دے اور رحم فرما اور تو سب سے بہتر رحم فرمانے والا ہے۔

وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا

Waṣ-Ṣāffāti ṣaffā

By those [angels] lined up in rows,

قسم ہے ان کی جو صف باندھے کھڑے ہیں،

فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرًا

Faz-zājirāti zajrā

And those who drive,

پھر ان کی جو ڈانٹ کر روکنے والے ہیں،

فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا

Fat-tāliyāti dhikrā

And those who recite the message,

پھر نصیحت پڑھ کر سنانے والوں کی،

إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ

Inna Ilāhakum lawāḥid

Indeed, your God is One,

کہ بے شک تمہارا معبود یقیناً ایک ہی ہے،

رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ

Rabbus-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa mā baynahumā wa Rabbul-mashāriq

Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises.

آسمانوں اور زمین کا اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے سب کا رب، اور تمام مشرقوں کا رب ہے۔

إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ

Innā zayyannas-samā’ad-dunyā bi-zīnatil-kawākib

Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars,

ہم نے قریب ترین آسمان کو ستاروں کی زینت سے آراستہ کیا،

وَحِفْظًا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَّارِدٍ

Wa ḥifẓam-min kulli shayṭānim-mārid

And as protection against every rebellious devil,

اور ہر سرکش شیطان سے حفاظت کے لیے،

لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍ

Lā yassamma‘ūna ilal-mala’il-a‘lā wa yuqdhafūna min kulli jānib

[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side,

وہ ملاء اعلیٰ (فرشتوں کی محفل) کی طرف کان نہیں لگا سکتے اور ہر طرف سے مارے جاتے ہیں،

دُحُورًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ

Duḥūraw-wa lahum ‘adhābuw-wāṣib

Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment,

بھگانے کے لیے، اور ان کے لیے دائمی عذاب ہے،

إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ

Illā man khaṭifal-khaṭfata fa-atba‘ahū shihābun thāqib

Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness].

سوائے اس کے جو کوئی بات اچک لے تو ایک دہکتا ہوا انگارہ اس کا پیچھا کرتا ہے۔

فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَا ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍ

Fastaftihim ahum ashaddu khalqan am-man khalaqnā, innā khalaqnāhum-min ṭīnil-lāzib

Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created them from sticky clay.

اب ان سے پوچھو کہ کیا ان کی پیدائش زیادہ مشکل ہے یا ان چیزوں کی جن کو ہم نے پیدا کیا؟ بے شک ہم نے انہیں چپکنے والی مٹی سے بنایا ہے۔

يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ

Yā ma‘sharal-jinni wal-insi inis-taṭa‘tum an tanfudhū min aqṭāris-samāwāti wal-arḍi fanfudhū, lā tanfudhūna illā bi-sulṭān

O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah].

اے جنوں اور انسانوں کے گروہ! اگر تم میں اتنی طاقت ہے کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کے کناروں سے نکل بھاگو تو نکل دیکھو، تم بغیر زور و قدرت کے نہیں نکل سکتے۔

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

Fabi-ayyi ālā’i Rabbikumā tukadh-dhibān

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

پس تم اپنے رب کی کون کون سی نعمتوں کو جھٹلاؤ گے؟

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ

Yursalu ‘alaykumā shuwāẓum-min-nāriw-wa nuḥāsun falā tantaṣirān

There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves.

تم پر آگ کی لپٹیں اور پگھلا ہوا تانبا چھوڑا جائے گا پھر تم اپنا بچاؤ نہ کر سکو گے۔

لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

Law anzalnā hādhal-Qur’āna ‘alā jabalil-lara’aytahū khāshi‘am-mutaṣaddi‘am-min khashyatillāh, wa tilkal-amthālu naḍribuhā lin-nāsi la‘allahum yatafakkarūn

If We had sent down this Quran upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.

اگر ہم یہ قرآن کسی پہاڑ پر اتارتے تو آپ اسے دیکھتے کہ اللہ کے خوف سے جھک جاتا اور پھٹ جاتا، اور یہ مثالیں ہم لوگوں کے لیے بیان کرتے ہیں تاکہ وہ غور و فکر کریں۔

هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ ۖ هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ الرَّحِيمُ

Huwallāhulladhī lā ilāha illā Huwa ‘Ālimul-ghaybi wash-shahādah, Huwar-Raḥmānur-Raḥīm

He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

وہی اللہ ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، چھپے اور کھلے کا جاننے والا، وہ بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم فرمانے والا ہے۔

هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْمَلِكُ الْقُدُّوسُ السَّلَامُ الْمُؤْمِنُ الْمُهَيْمِنُ الْعَزِيزُ الْجَبَّارُ الْمُتَكَبِّرُ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

Huwallāhulladhī lā ilāha illā Huwal-Malikul-Quddūsus-Salāmul-Mu’minul-Muhayminul-‘Azīzul-Jabbārul-Mutakabbir, Subḥānallāhi ‘ammā yushrikūn

He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

وہی اللہ ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، بادشاہ، نہایت پاک، سلامتی والا، امن دینے والا، نگہبان، زبردست، زبردستی کام بنانے والا، بڑائی والا، اللہ ان تمام چیزوں سے پاک ہے جنہیں وہ شریک ٹھہراتے ہیں۔

هُوَ اللَّهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ ۖ لَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

Huwallāhul-Khāliqul-Bāri’ul-Muṣawwiru lahul-Asmā’ul-Ḥusnā, yusabbiḥu lahū mā fis-samāwāti wal-arḍ, wa Huwal-‘Azīzul-Ḥakīm

He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

وہی اللہ ہے پیدا فرمانے والا، عدم سے وجود میں لانے والا، صورتیں بنانے والا، اسی کے سب اچھے نام ہیں، آسمانوں اور زمین کی ہر چیز اسی کی تسبیح کرتی ہے، اور وہ زبردست حکمت والا ہے۔

يَهْدِي إِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَآمَنَّا بِهِ ۖ وَلَن نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَا أَحَدًا

Yahdī ilar-rushdi fa-āmannā bih, wa lan nushrika bi-Rabbinā aḥadā

It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone.

جو سیدھی راہ کی طرف رہنمائی کرتا ہے سو ہم اس پر ایمان لے آئے، اور ہم اپنے رب کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہیں ٹھہرائیں گے،

وَأَنَّهُ تَعَالَىٰ جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا

Wa annahū ta‘ālā jaddu Rabbinā mattakhadha ṣāḥibataw-wa lā waladā

And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son

اور یہ کہ ہمارے رب کی شان بہت بلند ہے، نہ اس نے کوئی بیوی رکھی ہے اور نہ کوئی بیٹا،

وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ سَفِيهُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ شَطَطًا

Wa annahū kāna yaqūlu safīhunā ‘alallāhi shaṭaṭā

And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression.

اور یہ کہ ہم میں سے بے وقوف اللہ پر حق سے ہٹ کر باتیں بناتا رہا ہے۔

قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ

Qul yā ayyuhal-kāfirūn

Say, "O disbelievers,

فرما دیجیے: اے کافرو!

لَا أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ

Lā a‘budu mā ta‘budūn

I do not worship what you worship.

میں ان کی عبادت نہیں کرتا جنہیں تم پوجتے ہو،

وَلَا أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ

Wa lā antum ‘ābidūna mā a‘bud

Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.

اور نہ تم اس کی عبادت کرنے والے ہو جس کی میں عبادت کرتا ہوں،

وَلَا أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ

Wa lā ana ‘ābidum-mā ‘abattum

Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.

اور نہ میں ان کی عبادت کرنے والا ہوں جن کی تم نے عبادت کی،

وَلَا أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ

Wa lā antum ‘ābidūna mā a‘bud

Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.

اور نہ تم اس کی عبادت کرنے والے ہو جس کی میں عبادت کرتا ہوں،

لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ

Lakum dīnukum wa liya dīn

For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."

تمہارے لیے تمہارا دین ہے اور میرے لیے میرا دین۔

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

Qul Huwallāhu Aḥad

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,

فرما دیجیے: وہ اللہ ایک ہے،

اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ

Allāhuṣ-Ṣamad

Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

اللہ بے نیاز ہے،

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

Lam yalid wa lam yūlad

He neither begets nor is born,

نہ اس کی کوئی اولاد ہے اور نہ وہ کسی کی اولاد ہے،

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

Wa lam yakul-lahū kufuwan aḥad

Nor is there to Him any equivalent."

اور نہ کوئی اس کا ہمسر ہے۔

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ

Qul a‘ūdhu bi-Rabbil-falaq

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak

آپ کہیے: میں صبح کے رب کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں،

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

Min sharri mā khalaq

From the evil of that which He created

ہر اس چیز کے شر سے جو اس نے پیدا کی،

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ

Wa min sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqab

And from the evil of darkness when it settles

اور اندھیری رات کے شر سے جب وہ چھا جائے،

وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ

Wa min sharrin-naffāthāti fil-‘uqad

And from the evil of the blowers in knots

اور گرہوں پر پھونکنے والیوں کے شر سے،

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

Wa min sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasad

And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

اور حسد کرنے والے کے شر سے جب وہ حسد کرے۔

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ

Qul a‘ūdhu bi-Rabbin-nās

Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,

آپ کہیے: میں انسانوں کے پروردگار کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں،

مَلِكِ النَّاسِ

Malikin-nās

The Sovereign of mankind,

انسانوں کے بادشاہ کی،

إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ

Ilāhin-nās

The God of mankind,

انسانوں کے معبود کی،

مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ

Min sharril-waswāsil-khannās

From the evil of the retreating whisperer -

بار بار وسوسہ ڈالنے والے، پیچھے ہٹ جانے والے کے شر سے،

الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ

Alladhī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūrin-nās

Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -

جو لوگوں کے دلوں میں وسوسے ڈالتا ہے،

مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

Minal-jinnati wan-nās

From among the jinn and mankind."

خواہ وہ جنوں میں سے ہو یا انسانوں میں سے۔
